Dr. Nada Haidar, BSc, DDS

Hi, I’m Dr. Nada

Co-owner

Dr. Nada’s story began in Dartmouth, but her journey truly took off when she moved to Halifax to pursue higher education at Dalhousie University. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, she set her sights on a career in dentistry and was accepted into Dalhousie’s renowned Dental School. She graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1997, and her strong connection to Dalhousie has continued over the years through her role as a part-time clinical instructor at the university.

Known for her caring nature, Dr. Nada is as at ease with children as she is with adults, a skill she attributes in part to being a mother herself. Her dedication to continuous learning fuels her passion for dentistry, with a particular interest in orthodontics. Following extensive training, she provides both braces and Invisalign to help her patients achieve their best smiles. Dr. Nada takes her role as a health care provider seriously, generously giving her time to various volunteer causes and maintaining memberships in respected professional organizations, including the Canadian Dental Association and the International Association for Orthodontics.

When she’s not caring for patients at North End Dentistry, Dr. Nada gives back to the community through her volunteer work at the North End Community Health Centre. She treasures time with her family and enjoys skiing at Martock or hitting the links at Nova Scotia’s beautiful golf courses with her husband and two children, fully embracing the vibrant life she’s built in her home province.

CREDENTIALS & INVOLVEMENT

My Approach

My practice philosophy has always been to educate my patients and to have them be very comfortable in choosing the treatment plan that is right for them.  It is very important for a patient to build a trusting relationship with me and my team.  It is from this place of trust that the best dental outcomes are achieved.  The best place to be dentally is healthy.  This looks different for every patient, and I can honestly say that no two treatment plans are ever the same because every patient is different.  What stays the same is the compassionate approach to care and the end result which is oral health.  A patient can ask any question while in my care and it will be answered with honesty.  Everyone is treated like family, ethically and with integrity.

Comfort and Connection

The trust between a patient and their dentist is something I have never taken for granted. After many years in practice, I have learned that trust is what allows patients to feel comfortable returning to our clinic year after year.

I want every patient to feel welcomed into a caring, non-judgemental environment. Every person has different dental needs, goals and concerns, and I believe it is important to take the time to understand what matters most to each patient when it comes to their smile and overall dental health.

Above all, I want my patients to feel safe, listened to and genuinely cared for, while receiving treatment in a gentle and thoughtful way.

Clear
Communication

A patient should never be left wondering about their dental health or treatment. If they have questions, I want them to always feel comfortable asking.

Good communication is never one-sided. I believe in listening carefully, getting to know my patients and educating them based on what I see clinically. Dental treatment options can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing, so I take the time to explain the possibilities clearly and help each patient understand the choices available to them.

My goal is for every patient to feel informed, involved and confident in the decisions they make about their care.

Thoughtful, Lasting Care

I strive to make every patient feel comfortable, respected and genuinely cared for. The trust that develops between a dentist and patient is what creates a strong and lasting relationship.

Dental needs naturally change throughout life, but my approach remains the same. I will continue to listen, educate, understand and support my patients as their needs evolve, helping them make the choices that feel right for them and their long-term dental health.
